Thanks for stopping by. I’m Katrina Miller, a surface pattern designer living in Seattle with my husband, two teen-age daughters, and the baby of our family, our 8-pound Cavachon, Leo.
Originally trained as an attorney, I stopped practicing law after my first child was born and studied interior design and graphic design before discovering surface pattern design.
My art inspiration comes from my childhood in nature — dusty dirt roads, fern-lined paths through fir-tree forests, fields of Queen Anne’s lace, and sea-sprayed driftwood on a tiny island near the border between Washington State and Canada.
I love pretty feminine patterns, soft cozy textures, and fresh floral scents. My dream is to bring the joy of beautiful surroundings to others through my products and designs.
When not designing on my computer or iPad, I enjoy painting in watercolor and gouache. A huge sports fan and tennis fanatic, I also like to read (especially memoirs and psychology), knit, and play games with family.
